'Fruits in the Backwater' by Kerry Ann Lee set to open in Wellington

Kerry Ann Lee’s new solo exhibition opening at PATAKA Art + Museum celebrates Aotearoa New Zealand as a remote archipelago.

Opening in Wellington on Sunday 27 August at 2pm. On until 22 Jan, 2018.
A solo exhibition  Fruits in the Backwater by Kerry Ann Lee.
Photographic cut-outs of tantalizing images from glossy commercial advertising are suspended amongst lightboxes with locally-specific references. This installation has the look and feel of a glossy tourism brochure, but it's fractured and verging on rupture as Lee takes stock of the cultural nuances that make us who we are.
